Help

Thank you for visiting the Critical Quarterly Debates web site.

We hope you have found the site interesting and easy to navigate. However, if you encounter any problems we hope the following advice and information will be of some use.

Accesibility Information

This website has been enhanced for text-readers and screen readers.

Text sizes

That site has been optimised to allow easy resizing of text for users who have low-vision.

Those with poor sight may be able to increase the size of the text on screen. The procedure for doing so differs from one browser to the next. The table below outlines the procedure for some popular browsers. If your browser does not appear in the table the following guidelines may be of assistance: In general, looking under the "View" selection on the main menu, you should find an option called "Text Zoom" or "Text Magnification" or "Text Size" or "Font Size". From that point it should be relatively simple to find and select an additional sub menu option that adjusts text size to your needs.

For the technically minded amongst you we have built this site to validate as XHTML version 1.1. This means it should work across browsers and will even work in a text only browser. We then went on to validate through Bobby, the American site specifically designed to test sites and validate whether they are accessible or not. Most of the pages of this site qualify for Bobby Triple AAA status WCAG. The ones that don't, still qualify under Bobby Section 508 which is still a tough level to achieve.

Having said that, that doesn't mean to say that we only want to use computers to test this site. We have called upon disabled friends to give us their feedback, however if you have a problem using this site please let us know - we really want the site to work for as many people as possible.
